Sugar Mas 2023: Ras Kelly crowned Power Soca Monarch

(Caribbean Loop) – St Kitts and Nevis has a new Power Soca Monarch King. Kelvin Kelly ‘Ras Kelly’ won the SKELEC Power Soca Monarch crown with his song “Showcase”.
Twelve artists battled for the prestigious title at Warner Park Cricket Stadium on Thursday night.
According to the results of the competition, Kelly took first place with 534 points.
Bjorn Bassue ‘Mr Hype’ was announced as first runner-up with his song “Pot Spoon” which earned him 521 points, while Franklyn Percival ‘T-Bone’ was announced second runner-up with his performance of “Pirates” which earned him 512 points.
St Kitts and Nevis National Carnival has congratulated the winner as well as all the finalists for their exceptional performances.
It’s Carnival season in St Kitts and Nevis – Sugar Mas 52-which runs from December 15, 2023, to January 2, 2024.
